Ladle pourer — Edgefield County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Edgefield County, South Carolina. The job is on the moulding line. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity.
