Brick mason — Stirling

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick mason in Stirling, Scotland. You will work on a commercial construction site. You will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts. Requirements: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
