Immediate opening: we are hiring a press setter operator in Wasco County, Oregon. The job is at an auto components factory. Day to day you will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts. You should have: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
