Vacancy available: single needle operator (New Hampshire)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a single needle operator in Coos County, New Hampshire. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
