Metal caster — Upson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in Upson County, Georgia. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
