Aluminium tig welder — Limestone County

Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Limestone County, Alabama. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
