Machinist — Labette County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a machinist in Labette County, Kansas. Your main tasks: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality You should have: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
