JCB operator — Ketchikan Gateway Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a JCB operator in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. You will be based on a busy civils and groundworks site. Day-to-day duties: • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble What we are looking for: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances 2+ years on the tools preferred.
