Die-casting operator • Marion County, Oregon

We are recruiting: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Marion County, Oregon. You will be based on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
