Presser — Johnson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a presser in Johnson County, Nebraska. You will work in a tailoring workshop. Day to day you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number. What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
