Core maker — Cassia County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Cassia County, Idaho. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Your main tasks: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Full-time with occasional weekends.
