Ideal candidate: • Comfortable using vernier, micrometer and gauges • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts The role involves: • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Set up and start the machine as per the job card • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
