Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Ottawa County, Oklahoma. The job is at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Day to day you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch.
