Precision welder • Craig County, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in Craig County, Virginia. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances You will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
