Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Tazewell County, Virginia. You will be based in a die and mould making unit. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience Day-to-day duties: • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
