Now hiring: sewing machine operator (Georgia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Schley County, Georgia. The job is on a ready-made garment production line. Requirements: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory On the job you will handle: • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension Rotating shifts.
