What we are looking for: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day-to-day duties: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
