Panel welder — Union County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Union County, Illinois. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances On a typical shift you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence.
