Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Sarasota County, Florida. The role involves: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks 5+ years on the tools preferred. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
