Concrete pump mate — Bledsoe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Bledsoe County, Tennessee. You will be based on a building construction site. Day to day you will patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Six days a week, one day off.
