Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in St. Clair County, Alabama. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 6+ years on the tools preferred.
