Industrial sewing operator — Knox County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Knox County, Maine. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. The role involves: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance 5+ years on the tools preferred.
