Sewing machine operator — Lewis County

Join our team: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Lewis County, West Virginia. On a typical shift you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 6+ years on the tools preferred.
