Banksman — Laurens County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a banksman in Laurens County, South Carolina. You will work at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
