Building site helper — Humboldt County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a building site helper in Humboldt County, Iowa. The job is with a civil contractor. You should have: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites Your main tasks: • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site Full-time with occasional weekends.
