Nursery worker — Vigo County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a nursery worker in Vigo County, Indiana. You will work in a public park. You will spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed. You should have: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
