Vacancy available: flatlock machine operator (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Pope County, Illinois. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. On the job you will handle: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance Rotating shifts.
