Immediate opening: elevator service technician (Alabama)

Great opportunity: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Chambers County, Alabama. The job is at a busy lift company. On the job you will handle: • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers You should have: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
