Die-casting operator wanted in Grant County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Grant County, Washington. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Performance bonus on top of base pay.
