Immediate opening: core maker (Kentucky)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Johnson County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
