CO2 welder • McIntosh County, Oklahoma

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a CO2 welder in McIntosh County, Oklahoma. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI in welder trade or equivalent Full-time with occasional weekends.
