Rebar fixer — Rotherham

Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Rotherham, England. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. The role involves assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. Ideal candidate: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Meals and transport allowance provided.
