Foundry worker — Pendleton County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Pendleton County, West Virginia. The job is on the moulding line. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
