Core maker — Meade County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Meade County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,600 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
