Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Wilcox County, Georgia. Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
