Gtaw welder — McIntosh County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in McIntosh County, North Dakota. The role involves: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
