Steel erection rigger — Morgan County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Morgan County, Illinois. You will be based at a container port. Day-to-day duties: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Requirements: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
