Abattoir worker — Jackson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Jackson County, West Virginia. You will work at a halal meat counter. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required You will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date. Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
