Abattoir worker — Crittenden County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Crittenden County, Kentucky. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. On the job you will handle: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
