Foundry worker — Okrika

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Okrika, Rivers State. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture.
