We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Hill County, Texas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Your main tasks: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
