Join our team: we are hiring a moulder in Muskegon County, Michigan. The job is at a busy iron foundry. On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Six days a week, one day off.
