Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Chautauqua County, Kansas. The job is at a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel You should have: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks 5+ years on the tools preferred.
