Vacancy available: core maker (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Highland County, Virginia. You will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
