Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Ottawa County, Ohio. You will work at a renovation and extension job. The role involves forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Rotating shifts.
