Fabrication workshop technician — Shelby County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Shelby County, Kentucky. The job is at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. Your main tasks: • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals Requirements: • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
