HGV driver — Onslow County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a HGV driver in Onslow County, North Carolina. You will be based at a container freight yard. Day-to-day duties: • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off You should have: • Valid digital tachograph card • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Confident with manual handling and load securing 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
