Flatlock machine operator wanted in Vernon Parish

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience.
