Semi-automatic welder — Calhoun County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Calhoun County, Florida. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator. Ideal candidate: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
