Restoration bricklayer — Travis County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Travis County, Texas. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish What we are looking for: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
